(Bayou Holler) 2004I sing harmony and play "feet" on this amazing new record of James' original songs recorded in Louisiana & Virginia, and reflecting the groove and vibe of the music both locations. www.jamesleva.com. Uncle Earl
(Going to the Western Slope) 2004Out of print except on iTunes. Eric Merrill
(The Western Star) 2004I sing harmony on this debut record from Boston Irish fiddler Eric Merrill. Release date: Fall, 2004. www.ericmerrill.com Keith Lovett
(Untitled) 2003I sang harmony on this record record of Keith Lovett's original songs. Recorded by Slinky Cobblestone in Purcellville, VA. Release Date: Eventual ;-). The Jolly Bankers
(Death & Taxes) 2003Recorded in an Ohio funeral parlor on Tax Day, this was the Jolly Bankers debut album and a bit of a cult classic for fans of bizarro trad-pop. Featuring Laura Cortese & Pierce Woodward. I play acoustic & electric guitar and sing. I also co-engineered the album including creating loops of found sound recordings and such. www.jollybankers.com. Pierce Woodward
(Leave No Millionaire Behind) 2003I sing harmony on this record which is nothing short of genius. Featuring original songs by Pierce Woodward (who also plays bass in The Mammals). Pierce plays 10 or 12 instruments on this record, including the banjo, the glockenspiel and the radiator. The songs are smart, political, hummable... everything you could want. Find more info at www.piercewoodward.com. Bob Lucas & Chloe Manor
(Kin) 2003I danced a little bit on this amazing record which mostly features the original songs of one of my songwriting superheros Bob Lucas (He writes for Alison Krauss and others, you know...). Chloe Manor is one of my hero singers (and a co-founder of our band The Stupid Kiss). I was honored to be a part of this home-made production. Check it out: www.boblucasmusic.com. And these are some artists who have recorded my songs on their own albums:
Laura Cortese
(Even the Lost Creek) 2006"Even the Lost Creek". It's the title track. More info: www.lauracortese.com. Flynn Cohen
(Mellow Yell) 2004"The Shiny Penny Song". More info: www.deadstring.net. Lissa Schneckenburger
(Different Game) 2002"Like the Snow". More info: www.lissafiddle.net. Erie Pennsylvania School District
(Limited Edition Recording of the District Choir's Annual Concert) 2003"Crayola Doesn't Make a Color for Your Eyes". I was pretty proud when Kelly Armor & Dave Sturtevant called to ask if they could put this one on a CD made by an district-wide children's choir. 125 kids singing your song and doing body percussion to accompany themselves? That's cool. Kelly & Dave learned the song from Megan & I at an open mic night, and they've been teaching and performing it as part of their Arts in Education work ever since.
