[Solo Music][Choir Music][Performance Calendar]
I currently sing in four choirs, along with an honorary choir assembled over the summer. Below I'll try and explain each choir that I'm singing in, what kind of choir it is, and then specify on the MP3 which choir is singing the song. I hope it doesn't get too confusing.
Choirs Featured on This Site Oregon Bach Festival Youth Choral Academy (YCA): This choir is comprised of the top 80-90 high school singers in the country. They hold auditions for it each spring, and then the actual event takes place for eleven days at the end of June through the beginning of July in Eugene, Oregon on the University of Oregon Campus. It is an amazing experience, and I have participated for the past two years and will be returning for one final summer this year. You get to work with world-renowned conductors and artists. I recommend that you check out the YCA site for yourself...you'll find the link on my "Links" page! Pacific Youth Choirs (PYC): This is the Portland
choir I sing in. It is comprised of five different choirs
that are broken down thus: Choirs Not Featured on This Site Glencoe High School Concert Choir: This is a choir consisting of approximately fifty singers at my high school. It is the top chamber choir at the school, and last year we took third place at state! Unfortunately, I don't have any recordings of this group. Glencoe High School Select Ensemble: This is a choir consisting of approximately eight men and eight women. It's usually acapella, and we rehearse during zero period at 7:30 in the morning. I've been in it since Junior year.
