Originally from Shaker Heights, Ohio, Boston-based acoustic guitarist Flynn Cohen started playing at the age of eleven. He has gone on to earn degrees in Music Composition from Dartington College of Arts (Devon, England) and Mills College (Oakland, California). He moved back east in 1999 to play with famed Irish accordion player John Whelan and he toured for a time with Nashville singer/songwriter Adrienne Young. Flynn is currently performing with Annalivia, Halali, The Sevens, the Chagrin River Band, and has also worked with Aoife Clancy, John McGann, Jake & Taylor Armerding, Malibu Storm, Mark Simos, Footworks Percussive Dance Ensemble, Todd Denman, and Boston City Limits. He specializes in Bluegrass and Irish traditional music and is a visiting lecturer in music at Bridgewater State College in Massachusetts.
